As president of Toshiba America Medical Systems (TAMS), Mr. Tsunakawa is focused on expanding and strengthening the company's offerings in this country, particularly on products and services suited to meeting the requirements of the competitive marketplace. Mr. Tsunakawa’s 25-year business career has been entirely devoted to Toshiba’s medical equipment business. After graduating from Tokyo University with a degree in international relations, he joined Toshiba in manufacturing planning. Since that time, he has held an array of positions, including two with TAMS as senior manager for Operations and in administration of purchases, sales and inventory. Additionally, Mr. Tsunakawa has served as senior manager, Strategic Planning Department, and senior manager, International Sales Department. Most recently, he held the position of general manager, Business Planning Department for Toshiba Medical Systems Corporation (TMSC), responsible for developing and defining business strategy for Toshiba’s international business.

Lawrence Dentice, General Manager and Senior Vice President
Lawrence Dentice, senior vice president and general manager, joined Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. in 2002 as vice president, Sales. He was promoted last year to his current position and now also sits on TAMS’ Board of Directors. Since Dentice joined the company, TAMS has achieved 20-25 percent annual year-over-year growth and achieved industry recognition for its customer satisfaction ratings as reported by MD Buyline and KLAS Enterprises. Prior to joining Toshiba, Dentice worked for Inphact in Nashville, Tenn., a PACS information technology company, where he was vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to that he worked for Marconi Medical Systems in Cleveland, from 1985 to 2001. As vice president of U.S. sales, he helped the company earn 13 percent year over year sales growth. Dentice also worked for GE Medical Systems from 1974 to 1985 in engineering service and sales.

Fredric J. Friedberg, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, TAMS;
President, Toshiba Medical Research Institute and Toshiba America MRI, Inc.
Fredric J. Friedberg joined TAMS as vice president and general counsel in May 1989. He has responsibility for the company's legal and regulatory affairs, as well as the company's interaction with the Food and Drug Administration and the medical industry's primary trade associations. In 2006, Friedberg was named president Toshiba Medical Research Institute and Toshiba America MRI, Inc. He is a member of TAMS Board of Directors. Friedberg has worked in the legal profession for more than 25 years and in the medical diagnostic imaging industry for nearly as long. He obtained his J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law, and his A.B. from Rutgers, The State University.

Kevin Abbott, Vice President, CFO and Treasurer
Abbott, who is an officer of TAMS, is responsible for all accounting, tax and finance functions including forecasting, budgeting and mid-term business planning. Abbott joined TAMS in 1991 as manager, General Accounting, and was soon promoted to the position of assistant controller. He was named controller in 1993. In 1997, Abbott was appointed vice president, Finance. Before joining TAMS, he worked at KPMG Peat Marwick and at Apria Healthcare, both in Costa Mesa, Calif. Abbott graduated from California State University, Hayward, with a bachelor’s of science degree in Business Administration and is a certified public accountant.

Mark Mindell, Vice President, Human Resources and Information Technology
Mark Mindell is responsible for driving the development and implementation of human resources policy, processes, practices and key related initiatives. Stepping into this role in 2005, Mindell has brought to Toshiba 25 years of human resource, organization development and change management experience. In 2006, Mindell was charged with managing Toshiba’s Information Technology. Mindell served as vice president, human resources for Philips Medical Systems; senior vice president, human resources and chief information officer for Invensys; and senior vice president, human resources for ENTEX/Siemens Business Systems. Mindell has published management, human resources, psychology and communications articles in professional journals. He holds a doctorate from Kent State University, a master’s degree from Central Michigan University and a bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University, all in the fields of Organization Behavior and Organization Communications.

Ted Nemetz, Vice President, Technology Services Business Unit
Joining Toshiba in 2005, Ted Nemetz leads Toshiba’s extensive service organization, including field operations, service marketing, logistics, technical support and the business unit’s financial operations. Prior to joining Toshiba, Nemetz held general management responsibilities at Universal Medical Systems in Ohio. He also served as vice president of Global Customer Service and Support operations for Philips Medical Systems, where he was responsible for a $1.6 billion business and more than 3,800 employees. Prior to Philips, Nemetz served as vice president and general manager of Global Service at Picker/Marconi Medical Systems.

John Zimmer, Vice President, Marketing
John Zimmer joined Toshiba in 1995 as director, CT Business Unit, and has contributed to the successful promotion of several of Toshiba’s leading products. He has more than 25 years marketing and sales management experience. He joined Toshiba after working as manager, Americas marketing, X-ray; and manager, Americas marketing, CT, for General Electric Medical Systems. He has a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. Zimmer has been a featured speaker at several industry conferences, including the Diagnostic Imaging Industry Conference, Economics of Diagnostic Imaging, the UCI Healthcare Forecast Conference, and Thought Leadership Summits’ Medical Products Conference on Customer Relationship Management. He has also been published in Sales and Marketing Management and Sales and Marketing Strategies and News.

Aaron Hudy, Vice President, Sales
Aaron Hudy joined TAMS in 2002 and is responsible for building Toshiba’s field sales, strategic accounts and dealer organizations. Before being named vice president, Hudy was the sales manager for the Central East where he lead one of the top performing sales zones. Hudy has more than 15 years of experience in Sales and Marketing. He started his career at Leaseway Transportation Corp. in 1991 as a marketing manager. Prior to joining Toshiba, Hudy worked for Marconi Medical Systems where he held the positions of zone manager, district zone manager and finance specialist. At Marconi, Hudy was responsible for establishing a company orders record in 2001, increasing sales over 2000 by 139 percent.

Peter Richards, Vice President, Operations
Joining TAMS in 2003, Richards now is responsible for managing business operations, sales support, sales force automation, applications and logistics. He joined the company as a sales manager in the Northwest Zone, the top performing zone in 2005. Richards has more than 20 years of experience in the medical imaging field. He served as an account executive and MR specialist for Picker International where he was responsible for developing key MRI reference sites and increasing sales. Richards acted as a combo-sales manager at Marconi Medical Systems, and just before joining TAMS, acted as zone MR specialist for Philips Medical Systems.
