CHICAGO, Nov. 29, 2006 - The first floor-mounted, multi-axis, bi-plane vascular X-ray system, the InfinixTM VFi/BP, from Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. will be showcased at the Radiological Society of North America's (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago, Nov. 26-Dec. 1. The latest addition to Toshiba's Infinix-i series family will be on display at booth #1129 (South Building, Hall A).
The Infinix VFi/BP system is a versatile multi-axis floor mounted positioner with a 12" x 16" flat panel detector (FPD) that allows unprecedented clinician access and anatomical coverage of the patient. In combination with an 8" x 8'' FPD on a ceiling suspended omega C-arm, the FPDs deliver high-quality, distortion-free images needed for complex vascular and neuro interventional, and general angiographic procedures.
"For customers looking for the best value and clinical performance, the Infinix-i series delivers industry-leading imaging capabilities, ease-of-use and advanced workflow features creating a new benchmark for patient access and speed during interventional procedures," said Robert Micer, director, X-ray Vascular Business Unit, Toshiba. "The new Infinix VF-i/BP system offers superior image quality and dose management features that enable fast, safe and accurate imaging procedures."
Focused Application for Complex Procedures
Key enhancements of the new Infinix VF-i/BP system include a multi-axis floor-mounted positioner for unparalleled coverage. This new C-arm's positioning flexibility gives clinicians unprecedented access to the patient, reducing examination time and improving physician comfort. Other features include programmable tableside dose control to optimize dose management and industry leading table weight capacity of 484 lbs. for accommodating larger patients. The system also is equipped with a powerful digital processor for rapid image review and all major DICOM classes for deployment of patient information.
